I carry on in this crazy life. I strive to be the man that I know I can be, and to find the one that will be with me for eternity. My dream, my desire, it to take the hand of my best friend, and walk with her into the house of the Lord. Then walk out with her again, but not as my best friend, but rather, as my wife.

You ask me to bend, to compromise. And you know that for you I would lay down my very life. And yet, in this, I cannot bend. To bend in this is to set every dream I have aside...to bend in in this is to break me eternally...destroy all that I am and hope to be.

You say you don't care about my religion, fine. But know that my religion is ME, it is my hopes, my dreams, my eternity. I would do anything for you, sacrifice my very life...but I cannot let go of eternity.

To bend to the point that you not only change your beliefts (which, by the way, isn't my problem), but in the process sacrifice your very dreams is to bend so much that you break.
